Sally Howard
Hello, my name is Sally and I’m a ceramic sculptor living in Somerset. I work with Ashraf Hanna Raku Body clay, which I find is the best clay to suit large hand built pieces; I colour using oxides and underglazes.
My work is a contemporary style, creating textures and a sense of movement in the pieces. I build in my workshop at home.
I am passionate about animal welfare and this is reflected in in my work, I have a contemporary style and try to capture the natural beauty in each animal or figure I create. I want my work to evoke a sense of empathy and intrigue from the viewer.
